The New Development
First Class Sports and Community facilities
The new pavilion is an exciting development by the Town Council with whom the FSC is proud to be in association. While our current clubhouse has served us well for many years we have a number of successful and vibrant sports teams now who are expanding and need a larger amenity. We also want to promote and encourage other sports and activities to join us.The development of the pavilion forms part of the Town council’s overall commitment to provide improved facilities for the whole community at the Recreation ground. The proposals for the building design have successfully received planning approval from the New Forest District Council and have the support of the National Governing Bodies for our affiliated clubs.
The Club currently provides fantastic opportunities for men, woman, girls and boys of all ages and abilities to participate in sport and other activities. In particular Fordingbridge football, hockey rugby and whippet racing clubs. However the new pavilion will give a huge boost to the Club’s ambition to act as an ambassador for sport, extending participation beyond the current clubhouse users and bringing together multiple sports under one roof and one umbrella. In addition to its purpose as a sports' clubhouse and changing rooms the new pavillion will offer a fantastic amenity for the wider community.The Fordingbridge Recreation Ground already hosts some landmark annual events and regular community events and these will be enhanced by having access to new improved facilities. The new Pavillion will also be able to accommodate new organisations and users and will provide an additional amenity for the Town and neighbouring villages to complement those currently available.
